Did not live up to the hype. I’ve heard great things about Pizzeria Gusto but unfortunately the experience did not meet my expectations. Making a reservation was difficult, I phoned a few days in advance and was told that there was only one time and one place available (a window counter seat). I suggest phoning far in advance. The day of our reservation we were able to sit at a table rather than the counter which was good (the restaurant was totally empty when we arrived so I am not sure why I was originally told that there was only one spot left). The food is very over priced. We paid $22 and $24 for our respective pizzas. The pizzas are Italian style, cooked in a Wood-fired oven. They were very underwhelming taste-wise and quite small for such a high price. You can get a better tasting pizza for almost half the price at an equally nice restaurant. For that size of pizza to be worth that price it should be excellent quality. There is also a very small selection of beer, would be nice to have more choices. Will not be returning and do not recommend.
I've been to Pizzeria Gusto a number of times and the food is generally pretty good, though, overpriced in my opinion. You're going to pay about twenty dollars for a personalized thin crust pizza. That being said, the ingredients are fresh, the pizzas taste good, and they have some good appetizers (meatballs are quite good). The atmosphere is trendy and stylish (and sometimes a bit pretentious for Winnipeg) so it's not particularly "comfy" or "relaxing", but if you want somewhere trendy to hang out for food and drink, this is a decent place to go. There are other restaurants in Winnipeg where you can get as good food (or better) for more reasonable prices.
Hands down best pizza in the city, but also an amazing environment with the best staff you can ask for. Open concept space and kitchen, eating at the bar is my favorite, stop reading and make a reservation. Only downfall, you'll need a reservation most days.
An amazing restaurant. Ambience is energetic, modernized and trendy. Service was incredible and I really appreciated the ability to make a reservation through Open Table. Food & drinks were reasonably priced and I found the food perfectly seasoned and hot. The wine selection was also fantastic. Overall, a great treat and a different vibe from a lot of restaurants.
Patio is quite nice. Beer selection is very narrow ....would be nice if they had more options. Pizza is very good. Would give 5 stars but it is a bit pricey in my opinion.
