We visited the restaurant on a Saturday night as a party of 4. We were aware of the long waits for the food. However, our 1.5-2 hour wait was not worth it. They were out of the original appetizer we wanted to order, so we were fine with switching it to the other option (which turned out to be the best part of the meal.) The wait was on, and when we got our plates, 3 of the 4 dishes were the wrong orders. I approached the server - who by the way was the ONLY one on the floor - and told her about the situation. She picked up the dishes, and gave it to the other table instead. Another long wait for the correct dishes, and it was cold by the time we got it. It seems like a very humble restaurant, but the flavours are lacking, which do not make up for the wait times. I also understand how difficult it is to be the only server, but it is prime weekend hours and it only hindered from the full experience.
Delicious food. A truly cultural experience. Sharing a special between 2 people was perfect. Just enough spice to be hot, but not overwhelming. The bathrooms are not great though, so be aware.
Went back after about one year or longer and the food is still awesome. I would recommend it to any East African as I myself am from Kenya and the restaurant's atmosphere definitely reminds me of home. As for the price, it's worth the money.
Amazing food nice atmosphere and all the food is made fresh, the owner makes it all herself. I have been coming here for probably close to 20 years and would recommend it to anyone!
The atmosphere is terrific, with nice music. I can't comment on the wait time. We were there on a Wednesday, so it wasn't a long wait as I've read in other reviews. The food is incredible and surprisingly inexpensive. I highly recommend!
