We three ladies who volunteer at the airport and haven’t been together since lockdown met for lunch. We picked Applebee’s on Grant as it was most convenient being that we are spread all over the city. We were greeted promptly and asked to sanitize our hands and it was pointed out to follow the arrows when leaving the restaurant. We were most impressed that the servers wore masks as that has not been my experience in other restaurants. Our food was delicious although my order was far to generous for me and, in hindsight I should have cut my sandwich in half to bring home for dinner. Our server was friendly and we enjoyed a visit with Bart, the manager, who explained how things were being done in light of Covid-19. While they were closed, I also had to indulge in the salmon dinner as it is my favourite. All in all, it was a most pleasant lunch and, being chatty ladies, we were not rushed! We’ve decided it was so enjoyable we will be doing this on a more regular basis. Kudos to the staff at the Grant Park location.
Not trying to belittle anyone here because we pretty much enjoyed our meals, but for sure the burgers were greasy. Fries were ordinary and service was kind of indifferent. All of that said, it was better than the last time we were there. Good chance we will avail ourselves of another menu special.
Food is great. Staff are friendly. Although there was a mixup in takeout order, they went above and beyond to correct the problem. Will go back.
Good place to grab a snack but beware of bacon always taste old like its been cooked for sometime
The staff are very good at the setting is nice. It's a chain restaurant with mass market quality food, so it's all good enough, but nothing exceptional to write home about. They've got pretty typical pub fair on the menu and a large but pretty standard liquor offering at the bar. All of the servers are really nice, but the last time I was here for some reason we kept having a problem with getting my order correct. I'd ordered a pasta with no meat and the first time they brought out some completely different dish all together, then the second time they brought out the pasta but they had add chicken to it (my friend had already finished her meal so I just picked off the chicken and gave it to her). The manager was nice and give us a discount so I'm not too upset about it (I'm not strictly vegetarian but I generally don't like meat) but it was a sub-optimal dining experience.
